What is Paralym Art?

It is a social contribution project in which we work together with artists with disabilities as one team, to sustain the provision of support for people with disabilities along with the cooperation of private companies and individuals, without depending on social security funds.

The Paralym Art World Cup is a worldwide event for people with disabilities to express their artistic talents. Each year, a different theme is selected for artists from all over the world to submit their artworks. The Grand Prix winner, the Runners-up and other selected award winners will be invited to an award ceremony planned to take place in Tokyo, Japan in December 2022 (TBC).

Express what ‘FUTURE’ means to you!

Eligibility
  • You must be able to prove disability with an official document. You will be asked to present the document to receive an award. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
  • You must agree to the terms and conditions which are available on the event website.
  • You may submit your artwork as an individual or as a group.
Submission Period 1st June 2022 – 31st August 2022
Selection Process (TBC)
  • 1st Round
    September 2022: Primary selection by the Paralym Art Executive Office
  • Final Round
    October 2022: Final selection by judges and sponsors
  • Announcement of Results
    December 2022: Announcement of winners at the award ceremony and on the Paralym Art World Cup website
    • *Award winners will be contacted by the Paralym Art Executive Office. Individual inquiries are not accepted.
Number of submission Limited to one submission per person or group.
Artwork Specifications
  • Size: Between A4 and A0(841mm×1189mm)
    Please enter the correct size when submitting your artwork.
  • Medium: Any media considered as 2D (e.g. colored pencil drawing, acrylic, watercolor, oil painting, paper cutout, woodcut, etching, calligraphy, embroidery, etc.)
  • *Photography, 3D art, or any artworks with a surface that is too uneven to be scanned will not be considered.
How to submit Please read and agree to the terms and conditions before completing the entry form on the Paralym Art World Cup website.
  • *If you do not have Internet access, use a proxy with Internet access to submit on your behalf.
  • *Upload a scanned digital image or a digital photo of the artwork.
  • *Any submission with omitted or incomplete information will be disqualified.
  • *Please ensure the scanned/photo image has the correct orientation.
  • *No changes can be made after a submission

Privileges for the Award Winners

Some award winners (including Grand Prix and Runners-Up) will be invited
to the award ceremony in Tokyo, Japan in January 2022 (TBC)!
There will be various supplementary prizes for the winners.

The theme for the Pralym Art World Cup 2022 is ‘FUTURE’

Each person has his or her own vision of the‘FUTURE’.
We are calling artists from all over the world to submit artwork that expresses your vision of ‘FUTURE’.
The Grand Prix winner and the Runners-up will also win a cash prize of 300,000 yen and 100,000 yen respectively.
We look forward to receiving your submission.

Grand Prix: 300,000-yen cash prize
Grand Prix Runner-Up: 100,000-yen cash prize
The Grand Prix winner, the Runners-up and other selected award winners will receive a trip to an award ceremony planned to take place in Tokyo, Japan in December 2022 (TBC).
Various other prizes will also be awarded.
The award winning artworks may be used by sponsors for various purposes.

ENTRY

Important Notice

  1. ① Artwork must be submitted via the Paralym Art World Cup website only. Any other submissions will not be considered. Any artwork sent to the office will not be returned.
  2. ② Any submission that does not comply with the guidelines will not be considered, including original artworks that do not fit within the specifications or submissions with incorrect information.
  3. ③ Artworks must be created and submitted under the theme ‘FUTURE’.
  4. ④ Award winning works may be sold or used in printed materials or products. For that purpose, some modifications may be applied to the original work. If sales are generated from the use of the artwork, royalties will be paid accordingly. The original artworks of award winning artists will not be returned.
  5. ⑤ Only artworks to which you, your agent, your organization, or your legal guardian own the copyright can be submitted.
  6. ⑥ Personal information you provide may be used for secondary purposes during and after the event.
  7. ⑦ Submitted works regardless of awards may be used in printed materials and on the website of the event organizer and Paralym Art for advertising and promotional purposes.
  8. ⑧ Parts of the operations related to the implementation and management of the event will be subcontracted to third parties, who will be entrusted with personal information under appropriate supervision by the organizer.
  9. ⑨ Any inquiries regarding the selection process will not be responded to.
  10. ⑩ Candidates for awards will be contacted individually. Please be sure to provide contact information where you or your proxy can be reached.
  11. ⑪ Please keep the original artwork safe until the announcement of results.

Important Notes to Award Winners

[Shipping]

Winners will be required to send the original artwork to the Paralym Art World Cup Executive Office.
If a winner chooses to ship by any other means not specified by the Executive Office, the winner will be responsible for shipping costs.
Artworks sent to the Executive Office will not be returned.
Prizes will not be sent to winners who live in a country or region where EMS cannot reach. In such cases, a certificate of commemoration will be sent by email.

[Cash Prize]

Payment of a cash prize will be made via PayPal. Please make sure that you are able to receive a PayPal payment. Any payment to award winners who live in a country or region where PayPal is not accessible will be made via a bank transfer. Any transaction fees will be borne by the recipient.
